Yes .. it's that time of the year.... we start today on our annual AROUND THE WORLD scavenger hunt. Great Escape 2013. Yes. We showed up yesterday in Los Angeles and met all the teams (there are 14 teams this year - more details on them later). We are traveling this year with my mom and my youngest son (Jordan) as well as two best friends (Wendy and Marnie) and their two teenager kids so we'll be seeing the world through the eyes of three teens. How fun!! Here are the three knuckleheads walking into the Bon Voyage party: Madeline, Ollie and my son Jordan.
At dinner we learned that we were not leaving last night for our first destination (as usual) but we were getting to sleep a whole night in our fancy hotel bed. (I did the Happy Dance.. I've not slept a lot this week so a good night's sleep was awesome). This morning at 7 AM we learned we are heading for Shanghai, China. We leave in 3 hours. Packing up now and heading for the airport. And the best part of this trip ... we have no idea where we are going ... so come along with us on this adventure and we go on a blind date with the world.
